Homemade Blackcurrant Jam

Ingredients:

The Jam

4 cups

Früt frozen blackcurrants

2 cups

granulated sugar

X 1

Juice of lemon

Main ingredient:

Frozen Blackcurrant

Method:

Step 1:

Thaw & Collect Juice: Thaw frozen blackcurrants, collecting released juice.

Combine Ingredients: In a saucepan, mix blackcurrants, collected juice, sugar, and lemon juice.

Step 2:

Heat & Dissolve: Heat over medium, stirring until sugar dissolves.

Boil & Simmer: Bring to a boil, then simmer for 20-30 mins until thickened, stirring occasionally.

Check Consistency: Test on a chilled plate; it's ready if it wrinkles and holds shape.

Step 3:

Cool & Blend (Optional): Cool slightly, blend for smoother texture if desired.

Pour & Seal: Pour into clean, sterilized jars, leaving space at the top. Seal jars.

Cool & Label: Allow jars to cool completely. Label with date and contents.
