Product FAQ

Are our fruit and vegetables organically grown?

Due to the nature of our business, we do not sell organic produce.

Where do our products come from?

Früt (and our suppliers) try to support the local market as much as possible, but sometimes we have to look outside of our borders to find the highest quality fruit, berries, powders, and ingredients; this
also helps to curb the seasonality of certain fruits and vegetables.

Do we stock any vegetables?

Currently we have frozen red beet, - kale, - ginger, - celery, and frozen spinach representing the vegetables. We are planning on expanding our vegetable portfolio in the near future.

How to best enjoy your purchased products.

We have an array of recipes on our website that really show off our products and can offer some inspiration for delicious smoothies, smoothie bowls, cocktails, baking, and cooking.

Are there any preservatives added to our frozen fruit?

No, we don’t add any preservatives. Our bananas get a sprinkle of ascorbic acid which is essentially vitamin C to stop the browning process, but other than that, freezing is our sole method of preservation. We let the fruits and vegetables speak for themselves.

What is the lifespan of our products?

Our frozen fruits and vegetables have a one-year shelf life from the date of packaging when stored in frozen form. Our dry products all have a lifespan of one year, starting from the date of packaging. Our syrups have a lifespan of 18 months if refrigerated.

Do the fruits and vegetables lose any nutrients when frozen?

This is a common misconception that we're happy to clear up: the answer is NO, the freezing process does not strip the produce of its nutrients. Freezing is merely a preservation method to ensure that you can enjoy a healthy lifestyle all year round.

How many grams of fruits or berries should I use to make a smoothie?

We recommend using 140g of frozen fruit and/or berries with approximately 250g of liquid. Also take note that the more dry product you add (e.g. whey protein powder), the more liquid you'll need to compensate for the thicker consistency.
