Whole Food Muesli

Ingredients:

The Muesli

2 cups

FRÜT whole rolled oats

½ cup

FRÜT soft-dried apricots, roughly chopped

½ cup

pumpkin seeds

1 tbsp

sesame seeds

1 tsp

ground cinnamon

½ cup

dried or freeze-dried blueberries

½ cup

raisins

½ cup

(125 ml) olive oil

1 tsp

sea salt flakes

½ cup

coconut flakes

1 cup

walnuts, roughly chopped

1 tsp

poppy seeds

1 tbsp

flax seeds

Main ingredient:

Rolled Oats

Method:

Step 1:

Place the seeds in a blender or coffee grinder and pulse to a coarse texture.

Place the seed mixture and all the remaining ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well combined, then spread the mixture evenly on a large baking tray.

Step 2:

Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for 1 hour, then remove the tray and stir the mixture, to ensure it cooks evenly.

Lower the heat to 100°C and return the tray to the oven for a further hour. (If the muesli starts to get too brown, lower the heat slightly.)

By the end of the cooking time, the muesli should be golden brown and completely dry. Once cooled, store in an airtight glass jar.

Serve with yoghurt or milk, and a drizzle of honey, if preferred.
