Oil-free, Gluten-free Spinach Falafels

Oil-free, Gluten-free Spinach Falafels

Ingredients:

Falafels

2 cups

FRÜT frozen spinach

1 can

chickpeas, drained

1/2 cup

red onion, chopped

X2

fresh garlic cloves

1/2 tsp

sea salt

1 tsp

cumin

1 tsp

coriander

2 tbsp

gluten-free oat flour (or ground oats)

Main ingredient:

Frozen Spinach

Method:

Step 1:

Preheat the oven to 190°C.

In a food processor or blender, combine all ingredients, including spices, and blend until smooth. Pause and stir the ingredients as needed.

Step 2:

In a bowl, scoop 1 ½ tbsp of the mixture to make falafel patties. If the mixture is too runny, add additional oat flour, 1 tablespoon at a time. 

Step 3:

Transfer the falafels to a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.

Step 4:

Serve with tzatziki or tahini sauce.

Tip:

Refrigerate leftovers for up to 5 days or freeze for up to one month.
