Step 1:
Prepare Figs and Dates:
Thaw the FRÜT Frozen Figs according to the package instructions if needed. Dice the figs and dates (or use date syrup) to the specified measurements.
Step 2:
Create Base:
In a mixing bowl, combine the diced figs, diced dates or date syrup, and minced shallots or red onion.
Step 3:
Add Balsamic Vinegar:
Pour in the ½ cup of balsamic vinegar and stir to combine. Allow the mixture to marinate for a few minutes, allowing the flavours to meld.
Blend and Emulsify:
Using a whisk, gradually drizzle in the extra virgin olive oil while continuously whisking to emulsify the dressing.
Step 4:
Adjust Consistency:
If the dressing is too thick, you can add the additional 3 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar to achieve the desired consistency.
