Packed with vitamin C and antioxidants, blackcurrants are a tart flu-fighting ingredient that boost the immune system. While best known in juice form as Ribena, blackcurrants are a delicious addition to smoothies, and their vitamin properties are also said to soothe sore throats.

Orange Juice

An oldie but a goodie – oranges are packed full of vitamin C, which is a strong antioxidant that helps boost the immune system. Put the juice in your smoothies, and be sure to use the pulp as well which contains limonoids – the phytochemical limonoid, has been found to have an antiviral, anti fungal, and antibacterial effect in the body.
