  • 4 cups FRÜT frozen blueberries
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Tiny pinch of salt
  • 5 tbsps all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 2 store-bought pie/pastry doughs
  • 1 egg yolk whisked with 1 tsp water

1. Preheat oven to 180°C

2. In a small bowl, mash up half the blueberries

3. In a medium bowl, whisk sugar, salt & flour, then stir in mashed blueberries, orange juice & orange zest, and allow mixture to rest in fridge/freezer

4. Unroll first dough and place in pie pan (make sure it reaches the lip of the pan), prick the bottom and sides with a fork

5. Unroll second dough and cut into strips that are roughly 3cm wide and at least 25cm long

6. Place frozen pie filling and place in prepared dough pan, then lightly brush crust edges with egg yolk

7. Build lattice pie top by crisscrossing alternating dough strips

8. Brush all strips with egg yolk, trim excess dough, pinch strips & edge to seal

9. Bake for 1 hour 15 mins, cool on rack before serving
